We started with a little poking and proding, and then move on to stripping paint, and varnish.
After experminting with soy based stripper, heat gun, and scraper we settled in on using the stripper on the transom and other Mahogany deck surfaces, while the heat gun and scraper seemed to work the best on the topside.
The topside has three coats of paint, the first two bubble up and come off pretty easy while the last coat, or first coat if will is a little more of a challange.
